Appointment landing page
The appointment landing page is where families go when they want to book a time from Cadence Calendar. It is the page that helps them choose the right appointment slot and complete the booking flow.
What this page is for
Families use the appointment landing page to:
- review the appointment type
- see the available time slots
- choose the student the appointment is for
- book the appointment
- complete payment if the appointment requires it
What families should expect
The appointment landing page only shows appointment times that are available to book. If a time is already taken or is no longer open, it will not be available.
Families may also see details such as:
- the appointment title
- the date and time
- the teacher's timezone
- any payment requirement for the booking
What happens during booking
When a family books an appointment:
- They choose an open time slot.
- They select the student.
- They confirm the booking.
- If payment is required, they complete checkout before the booking finishes.
If the appointment does not require payment, the booking can complete directly.
Why this page matters
The appointment landing page keeps booking simple for families. Instead of needing to email back and forth, they can choose a time that is already open and finish the booking in one place.
Important notes
- the appointment must still be available when the family books it
- if payment is required, the booking is not complete until payment succeeds
- all times are shown in the teacher's timezone
- families can only book appointment types that the teacher has made available in the portal
