<h1 class="p1">Connecting to Calendly</h1><ol class="steps-list"><li>Connect Calendly<ul class="accent-bullets"><li>Go to Settings → Integrations → Calendly and connect your Calendly account.</li><li>You’ll see the connected email and a confirmation banner once linked.</li><li>Important: Automatic event sync requires Calendly’s Standard (or higher) plan. If you upgrade later, disconnect and reconnect to apply the new permissions.</li></ul></li><li>Sync your Calendly Event Types<ul class="accent-bullets"><li>Click Sync Event Types to pull in your latest booking types (name, duration, color, description, link).</li><li>Toggle any type Enabled/Disabled.<ul class="accent-bullets"><li>Enabled = events of that type will be imported into Cadence Calendar.</li><li>Disabled = events of that type will be ignored.</li></ul></li><li>Use View Booking Page to preview the public Calendly link for that type.</li></ul></li><li>Pull in scheduled events (Pending Events)<ul class="accent-bullets"><li>Click Sync Events to fetch new bookings from Calendly.</li><li>New bookings appear under Pending Events for review before they’re added to your calendar.</li><li>Each pending item shows: student name, scheduled date/time (in your timezone), duration, and price (if provided by Calendly).</li></ul></li><li>Match each pending event to a student<ul class="accent-bullets"><li>Cadence auto-suggests matches using:<ul class="accent-bullets"><li>Student email → exact match, then</li><li>Student full name → exact match, then</li><li>Account primary contact email → exact match.</li></ul></li><li>Choose New Student or Existing Student:<ul class="accent-bullets"><li>New Student: Click Confirm to open a quick form prefilled with name, duration, and (if provided) price. Submitting creates a new Account + Student and links the event.</li><li>Existing Student: Select the student from the dropdown and Confirm to link the booking to that student.</li></ul></li><li>Use Remove if you don’t want to import that booking (e.g., test bookings).</li></ul></li><li>What happens after you confirm<ul class="accent-bullets"><li>The booking becomes a Lesson on your Cadence Calendar with start/end time and duration.</li><li>If the Calendly booking collected a payment, Cadence links it to the student so you can track charges/payments and report income alongside your other lessons.</li><li>From there you can use all Cadence features: attendance, notes, transactions, invoicing, and reports.</li></ul></li><li>Ongoing management<ul class="accent-bullets"><li>Return to Pending Events anytime and click Sync Events to fetch new bookings.</li><li>Update Enabled Event Types as your offerings change.</li><li>If you switch Calendly plans or permissions, Disconnect and Reconnect to refresh access.</li></ul></li><li>Troubleshooting &amp; tips<ul class="accent-bullets"><li>Don’t see pending items? Click Sync Events and confirm your event type is Enabled.</li><li>Auto-matching didn’t find the student? Use Existing Student and pick them manually, or choose New Student.</li><li>Using Calendly Free plan? Automatic sync isn’t supported—upgrade to Standard (or higher), then disconnect/reconnect.</li><li>Need to stop importing? Toggle a type to Disabled or Disconnect Calendly from the bottom of the integration page.</li></ul></li><li>Disconnecting Calendly<ul class="accent-bullets"><li>Click Disconnect on the integration page. Your existing Cadence lessons remain; new bookings will no longer import until you reconnect.</li></ul></li></ol><h1></h1>
