Online lessons

This article explains online lesson information.

Online lessons

Cadence supports a conference link on each lesson. Add one when you teach online so teachers and families can join with a single click.

Choose a conference link

In the Add or Edit Lesson form, set Conference Link to one of the following:

  • Google Meet. If two-way Google Calendar sync is enabled, Cadence generates a Meet link and attaches it to the lesson. The link is also added to the Google Calendar event.

  • Custom link. Paste any meeting URL, such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams, and pick a type. Cadence will show a Join link anywhere the lesson appears.

  • None. Skip the link if you plan to share details another way.

Where the link shows up

  • In the teacher calendar event details and popovers, with a Join link.

  • In the family account portal on the lesson details.

  • In Google Calendar for Meet links when Google sync is enabled.

Requirements

  • For automatic Google Meet links, enable two-way sync with Google Calendar and accept the requested permissions.

  • For custom links, no integration is required. Paste the URL and choose a type.

Notes

  • You can also leave the Conference Link as None and paste details into the description if needed.
