Calendar Toolbar and Search Bar

This article explains how to use the Calendar Toolbar and Search Bar to navigate your schedule and quickly find lessons in Cadence Calendar.

Calendar Toolbar

The Calendar Toolbar gives you full control over how you view your schedule:

  • Navigate Dates

Use the left (<) and right (>) arrows to move backward or forward in time. The title in the middle will update to show the current date range.

  • Today Button

Click Today to jump back to the current date at any time.

  • Change Views

Use the dropdown menu to switch between Month, Week, or Day views.

    • Month gives you a broad overview of all lessons and events.

    • Week provides a detailed view of the current week.

    • Day zooms into a single day’s schedule.

This makes it easy to switch perspectives depending on how you prefer to plan.

Calendar Search Bar

The Calendar Search Bar lets you quickly locate lessons by student name:

  1. Enter a student’s name (first, last, or both) in the search field.

  2. Click Apply to filter your calendar.

  3. Only lessons for the searched student will remain visible until you clear or change the search.

This is especially useful for teachers with many students scheduled across multiple weeks.

Tip: Combine the toolbar and search bar for maximum efficiency—for example, switch to Week View and search a student’s name to see only their lessons for that week.
