External Calendar Feed

External feeds let you subscribe to your Cadence Calendar schedule in your preferred calendar app, such as Google Calendar or Apple Calendar.

What Is an External Feed?

An external feed is a read-only .ics server link. Once you add the feed to your calendar app, your schedule will appear alongside your other events.

Update Frequency

  • External feeds are not instant.

  • It may take several hours for changes in Cadence Calendar to appear in your calendar app.

  • For real-time updates, use the two-way Google Calendar sync instead.

How to Add an External Feed

  1. Go to the Calendar page in Cadence Calendar.

  2. Click the Calendar Sync button.

  3. Under External Feeds, choose either:

    • Google Calendar

    • Apple Calendar

  4. Follow the prompts to add the subscription to your calendar app.

Once added, your schedule will automatically refresh on the update cycle of your chosen calendar app.

Limitations

  • Not two-way synced: changes made in your external calendar will not sync back to Cadence Calendar.

  • No color coding: group colors in Cadence Calendar will not carry over.

  • Not editable: external feeds are view-only; lesson edits and cancellations must be done in Cadence Calendar.
