<h1>Setting Defaults</h1><ul class="accent-bullets"><li>When adding a student: On the Add Student form, you can enter a default lesson price and lesson duration.</li><li>Billing type:<ul class="accent-bullets"><li>Per Lesson → Each scheduled lesson will automatically create a transaction using the default price.</li><li>Fixed Rate → Transactions are not auto-created per lesson. Instead, use charge transactions for fixed/recurring billing.</li></ul></li></ul><h1>Updating Defaults in Bulk</h1><ul class="accent-bullets"><li>From the Students page, check multiple students in the table.</li><li>A menu bar will appear at the bottom of the screen.</li><li>Choose Update Lesson Prices to change lesson price and/or duration for all selected students at once.</li></ul>This is useful for updating your entire studio quickly.<h1>How Default Duration Saves Time</h1><ul class="accent-bullets"><li>When scheduling a lesson, the end time is automatically set based on the student’s default duration.</li></ul><h1>Optional Auto-Adjust Pricing for Edited Durations</h1>If you edit a lesson’s duration for a single-attendee lesson, Cadence Calendar will detect the change and ask if you’d like to adjust the price automatically.<ul class="accent-bullets"><li>The price is calculated at the same per-minute rate as the original default.</li><li>Example: If a student’s default is $30 for 30 minutes, and you change the lesson to 60 minutes, Cadence will prompt:“Do you want to adjust this lesson’s price to $60 instead of $30?”</li><li>This adjustment is optional—you can keep the original price or update it.</li></ul><blockquote>Tip: This feature only triggers when editing an existing scheduled lesson, not when you’re creating a new one. Use it if you want your lesson charges to scale naturally with longer or shorter sessions without manually adjusting each transaction.</blockquote>
