Click add new from within the Calendar page or click on any calendar date to add a time block for that day.
Time Blocks are a simple way to reserve parts of your calendar so lessons or events don’t accidentally get scheduled during those times. Think of them as “busy blocks” — they don’t create lessons or invoices, they just visually mark conflicts on your calendar.
Time Blocks are visual conflict markers that appear on your calendar.
When you create one, Cadence Calendar will:
Check for overlapping lessons or events
Highlight those times in red (or your chosen color)
Prevent new lessons from being scheduled in that time (if conflict enforcement is on)
They’re perfect for blocking off things like:
Vacations or holidays
School breaks
Rehearsals or performances
Personal appointments
Conflicts are highlighted automatically.
Any lesson or event that overlaps a Time Block will show a conflict indicator.
They don’t remove or cancel events.
Time Blocks don’t delete or move existing lessons — they just alert you to the overlap.
They’re flexible and editable.
You can open any Time Block later to adjust its date, time, or group.
